That how it feels for me this week - I survived the two weeks of doing two jobs - bloody near killed me but I got there. There's no doubt that I put myself under undue pressure - I am such a perfectionist. When a couple of things went wrong - nothing too drastic - both my current and previous bosses told me not to worry - "shit happens" - to which I replied - "not to me!!" And it normally doesn't as I always prepare well so things run smoothly. I think the other aspect which was causing me to stress - and I only just realised it today, was that one of the team I have joined was really quite disparaging when I was given the position - because I don't have an HR degree and she does. She has since settled down (she's much younger than me) and on the surface is fine but I always feel that she's just waiting for me to do something wrong so she can pounce. And of course - guess whose area I was having to cover for!!! So I was triple checking everything so she'd have nothing to 'get' me on when she got back. I was actually discussing this with my boss as she gave me my performance review results today - and even though I've only been in the role 4 months she's really happy with how quickly I've picked up the reins. Her comment was that there's varying ways to climb a mountain - you can land on the top with a helicopter (degree) or climb the long way up the winding path (me). Anyway got a sizeable annual salary increase plus a fantastic incentive payment - so a happy camper tonight.
And now to WW at home - still plodding along - had a set back week before last - gained 400g which really baffled me as I'd been tracking faithfully and had been well down on the Friday and then shot up on the Monday. However I've just kept on keeping on and am down 800g this week so progressing steadily. I'm still cutting back on the alcohol - trying to have four or five AF days each week. Next attack is to up the excercise and try and get back to walking regularly. Linz mentioned a nifty little Iphone app called Sprint GPS which I've downloaded and about to try. But I was off and striding tonight when I got home from work so that's a good start.
Lots of photos following - we went for sundowner drinks a couple of weeks ago to a local lookout on the way out for dinner, then last Saturday we went to the Mayor's Ball in aid of flood relief - a wonderful excuse to get all dressed up. Then I had my hair done on Monday night - got fed up with the style and colour so have had it shaped in at the back and gone to a much lighter shade of blonde.

Your new 'do' is lovely.
Ya for a new job and salary increase... more $$$'s to save up for another overseas trip!
You're such an upbeat person Zanna, definitely someone to emulate. Love the new haircut - but I think you look fabulous with your hair up, you should do it more often!

Your hair looks lovely - really suits you and you looked so glamourous at the ball. Congratulations on the rise and bonus too.
I like your hair like that! You looked lovely dressed up for the ball:-)
Love the new hairdo...espesially the back, it so suits you!
I love your new 'do'.. I wish I could carry off something like that. I'm hoping to be a bit more adventurous as I get closer to goal weight. Well done at WWAH! I rejoined on Dec. 24.. and I'm enjoying the change (being the new ProPoints system). I've lost about 8kg's so far..and I started back at the gym again in January. I'm enjoying Wednesday night Zumba class..though since having my gallbladder out on Friday.. it's no gym for me for two weeks. I'm doing things differently this time and not allowing setbacks to cause me to throw in the towel. Persistence! Love your huge title photo too. Congrats on the job and those wonderful $ perks too.. Persistence and hard work pays off there too. :) xx
