So far not bad

Not exactly perfect either - but heaps better than I've been. So how did the wobble yous go - a friend's child used to say wobbleyou instead of the letter "w" and it kind of fits this situation don't you think - if I don't follow the four "w"s then I will wobble!!! Wine I still had a couple of wines on the weekend but went dry last night and plan to continue that way. Walk Walked on Saturday but nothing since - had Curtis and Josh for the weekend so time was a bit limited. Late home the last two nights so no time. But at the other site today so a nice big walk up the hill this morning. Water Really good - getting through 1.5 to 2 litres everyday - and getting some incidental exercise running to the loo. Watching Yes I've cut out all the crap and eating sensibly. So all in all not too bad - just need to maintain the focus and crank it up a bit. Scales showing a drop of 300g since Friday. Will report back again soon Z xx

Behaving Badly - Time for Reformation

Anne made a comment on my post the other day. She said I had given her a light bulb moment but the funny thing is that she in turn gave me one. Here I was waffling on about getting my A into G and only having 9 weeks till we go –but I was saying it not doing it!!! These past few weeks for me have been shocking. For some reason all my good eating habits just disappeared into the ether. I’m having wine most nights, eating chocolate, putting BUTTER on my bread, having larger helpings, drinking coffee instead of water. Now I’ve been lucky – none of this has reflected too much on the scales but I’m wasting valuable time and when it gets to time to leave for my holiday I just know I’m going to be angry with myself for not getting a few more kilos off so that I feel sparkly as I leave and also feel I have a bit of leeway while I’m away. Shit I’ve just counted – I have 61 days till we leave. Somehow that seems a lot less than just under 9 weeks. So I need to start doing things differently and fast!! OK here’s the plan – focus on all the Wobble Yous Walk : aim for every day – minimum 5 days per week Wine : none of it Water : lots of it – 2 litres every day Watch : while I’m not going to rigidly count points, I am going to keep the rough tally happening in my head Right then I had my toast without butter this morning and I’m on my second glass of water so I’m off to a good start. Expect to see me reporting back on Monday to tell you how good I’ve been over the weekend. Enjoy your weekend Love Z xx

BAG, PHONE AND LAPTOP SLEEVE

Super exciting title!! Life has been pretty quiet lately and so not really much to blog about.

So here’s a picture of the new handbag I treated myself to. A month or more ago I saw a bag I liked in the bag shop in town – I ummed and aahed and ended up leaving it – it was on special reduced from about $60 to $25. Anyway I kept thinking about it and decided to go back and get it a couple of days later and of course it was gone.

I spotted this little number last week – loved it but was kind of expensive ($80) but I wandered off round the shop and kept thinking about it and thought well I’m damn well not going to do the same thing as last time and so…. I just bought it.

Now the phone – well I treated mine (a work one) to a session in the washing machine and it wasn’t at all grateful!! Being a work one there’s lots of restrictions on its use and you can’t do half the things you’re supposed to so I decided what the hell I’ll buy my own one – use it for work as required and so claim it on my tax. I did my research and ended up buying this little cutie – I just love it – always wanted a flip phone. I bought it outright and just using it as prepaid but loving the fact that I can check Face Book, surf the net if I need to and check my emails as well as all the usual things. And so far it hasn’t even cost me that much.

Wanted one of those nice little sleeves for my laptop – it’s so dinky that it will fit either in the front of my hand luggage or even in the above mentioned handbag. Anyway to get one small enough (12.2ins) the only choice locally was at Dick Smiths – boring black and $50. Time to get on EBay I thought – and here was this one going up in Hong Kong. Got it for less than $20 including postage and it’s so much prettier.

Need to get my A into G – only nine weeks today till we leave for our trip – and I really want to get another couple of kilos off – I’m still 4.5kgs lighter than the start of the year but really 4.5kgs loss in six months isn’t terribly much to brag about! So maybe this week I can try and increase the count to ten pile.

So not much news from the Tart - hope everyone is well - I do check you all out regularly but have been a bit slack with the commenting - hard to type when you've got your coffee in your hand and you're rushing off to work - pretty poor excuse I know.

Take care my lovelies - especially the beautiful Briony who has had rather a rough ride lately but like the classy lady she is - is floating to the top again!!

Love Z xx
