Time out please!

Actually I've been taking it anyway - since I haven't posted for the past couple of weeks. Not really sure what the problem is - I just seem to have sort of lost my enthusiasm for blogging . I'm still reading what you're all up to but getting lazy and just reading through Bloglines and not commenting - keep thinking to myself that "I'll come back later and say something" but that time never comes. I don't want to give up on blogging as you guys are such a source of strength and inspiration to me so can I ask you to bear with me as I work through this spell - I'll still be around but just not as committed Weightwise I'm still going down - but wasted two weeks in the middle where I arsed around and put on but got my act together this last week and got back to where I was and down another 700gm so far this week so feeling a bit better about that. Mind you exercise is crap - just seems to be so much on my plate at the moment that I can't get myself in sync. Less than two weeks now till we leave for Vietnam so suddenly started to get excited about that - plan is to do some preliminary sorting/packing today as after that I've only got next weekend and I think the place might be a bit topsy turvy by then. The tiler is due to start the downstairs room on Tuesday so the contents of there are spreadeagled all around the place - some stuff out in the carport, other stuff under tarps under the pergola and all the little stuff in the upstairs spare bedroom. Hopefully the tiler will be finished by early next week so that will allow our plumber friend to install the laundry tub and the bathroom vanity before we go away and then the painter is coming in while we're away to do the painting. Work is still incredibly busy - both at work and after work - got a sundowner function on Tuesday afternoon to network with our HR teams in our area and meet one of the GMs HR for Australia, then a social sundowner on Friday night. Into this mix comes the review day for Module 2 of my Diploma in Business, followed by a three day workshop for Module 3 - this finishes at 4pm on the Friday before we leave on the Saturday. So this means that effectively I only have next week plus one day to make sure everything is up to speed before the holiday - but I've got two afternoons where I'm running a pilot training session and my boss is away for 3 days so I'm acting for him. AAggghhhh!!!! And somewhere in all this I need to fit in a visit to both beautician and hairdresser. The upside I guess to all this is that it leaves me very little time for eating!!! So that's where I'm dear blends (that's my new word I've created just to describe you all - blogger friends). We do plan on taking a laptop with us - so I'd like to try and do a couple of photo posts while we're away. OK must away and look through my summer clothes since it's over 30C everyday in Vietnam at the moment and I'm heavier than I was last time I went to summer climes - not a lot but enough to give the muffin look if I'm not careful so there'll have to be a bit of a 'try on' session happening. In case I don't get back to you before we leave - here's the itinerary 26th July - fly to Brisbane, Sydney then Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), overnight in Saigon - Grand Hotel 27th July - fly to Hanoi, overnight in Hanoi, Quoc Hoa hotel 28th July- tour drive to Halong Bay, board luxury junk, cruise around Halong Bay, watch the sunset, have dinner and drinks and stay overnight on the junk. 29th July - back to land around lunchtime, then back to Hanoi, overnight in Hanoi 30th July - fly to Nha Trang - spend three nights at the Ana Mandara resort there - we've spoiled ourselves a bit here! 2nd August - fly back to Saigon for 3 nights - have booked a visit to the Cu Chi tunnels 5th August - fly back to Australia 6th August - home again! Take care everyone Love Z xx ps - Did the try on and everything fits - obviously haven't been as bad as I thought - liked the look of just about everything I tried on - the 12's look fine - it's just the 10s make me look like 16!!

Thanks for catching us up Anne. Great news about the clothes still fitting, the 12's anyway.. I think that's an awesome size to be! I'd love to hear about the local dishes when you go away and the cost of eating out! All the best as you prepare for it all.. Love from your blend Maria :)

Have a good trip.

It amazes me to think of going to Vietnam... I suppose my parents' generation thought it was odd to go to Germany in the 50s. I hear it's beautiful and interesting (Vietnam), though.

You are so lovely in that photo. You look about 30.
