BAG, PHONE AND LAPTOP SLEEVE

Super exciting title!! Life has been pretty quiet lately and so not really much to blog about.

So here’s a picture of the new handbag I treated myself to. A month or more ago I saw a bag I liked in the bag shop in town – I ummed and aahed and ended up leaving it – it was on special reduced from about $60 to $25. Anyway I kept thinking about it and decided to go back and get it a couple of days later and of course it was gone.

I spotted this little number last week – loved it but was kind of expensive ($80) but I wandered off round the shop and kept thinking about it and thought well I’m damn well not going to do the same thing as last time and so…. I just bought it.

Now the phone – well I treated mine (a work one) to a session in the washing machine and it wasn’t at all grateful!! Being a work one there’s lots of restrictions on its use and you can’t do half the things you’re supposed to so I decided what the hell I’ll buy my own one – use it for work as required and so claim it on my tax. I did my research and ended up buying this little cutie – I just love it – always wanted a flip phone. I bought it outright and just using it as prepaid but loving the fact that I can check Face Book, surf the net if I need to and check my emails as well as all the usual things. And so far it hasn’t even cost me that much.

Wanted one of those nice little sleeves for my laptop – it’s so dinky that it will fit either in the front of my hand luggage or even in the above mentioned handbag. Anyway to get one small enough (12.2ins) the only choice locally was at Dick Smiths – boring black and $50. Time to get on EBay I thought – and here was this one going up in Hong Kong. Got it for less than $20 including postage and it’s so much prettier.

Need to get my A into G – only nine weeks today till we leave for our trip – and I really want to get another couple of kilos off – I’m still 4.5kgs lighter than the start of the year but really 4.5kgs loss in six months isn’t terribly much to brag about! So maybe this week I can try and increase the count to ten pile.

So not much news from the Tart - hope everyone is well - I do check you all out regularly but have been a bit slack with the commenting - hard to type when you've got your coffee in your hand and you're rushing off to work - pretty poor excuse I know.

Take care my lovelies - especially the beautiful Briony who has had rather a rough ride lately but like the classy lady she is - is floating to the top again!!

Ouch!

Yes I'm a bit of a walking wounded today.
It all started last night - I wasn't very hungry as I was very tired - didn't sleep well on Sunday night. So I told Bloss he could have left overs from tea the night before and I'd just have a plate of chicken broth. He was busy in the study so I heated up a bowl of soup in the microwave - piping hot - just the way I like it then sat down in the lounge room chair - watching Master Chef - and promptly tipped it all over my legs. I leapt up, dropped the plate and dragged off my gym pants and knickers and raced to the shower - it was really burning. I stood in the shower for about 10 minutes and got Bloss to call my friend Shaz who is a nurse to see what I should do next - I had huge red burns on both thighs and on one shin. She said that I should sit for about an hour with constantly cool damp towels over the burned area to hopefully prevent blistering and then ring her to report. However about half an hour after that, she turned up having been to work to get some supplies and dressed my leg. What a wonderful friend! The left one had calmed down with the cold water treatment but the right was bloody hot by this time. I doped myself up with some panadene and evenutally managed to sleep and it was much better this morning but still pretty uncomfortable. I didn't go to work but can log on remotely so worked on and off from home. Shaz said I should have a shower and take off the dressingd this afternoon and ring her and tell her how it looked. It was still very red and showing signs of blistering in a couple of spots so she advised me to get my doctor to take a look at it. They managed to squeeze me in at the surgery this afternoon and all is well and the nurse there has dressed it again. But it's still damn sore. That will teach me to sit at the new dining room table and not eat on my lap watching telly!!!
Take care possums and sit up properly when you have your tea!
